ARRCAT - CME arrival times and speeds with heliospheric imagers

In this ARRival CATalog (ARRCAT), the arrivals of solar coronal mass ejections (CMEs) that were tracked by the STEREO heliospheric imagers are calculated. ARRCAT lists modeled arrivals of CMEs at various spacecraft and planets, based on the HIGeoCAT catalog of CMEs established at RAL Space, UK (R. A. Harrison, J. A. Davies, D. Barnes). It is a living catalog, updated about every 2 months.
Here is an animation that visualizes the CMEs observed with STEREO-A HI and various in situ data starting from April 2020 to December 2020.

This is version 2.0, released 2020-May-13, updated 2024-February-27. https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.12271292

It is based on this HIGeoCAT version: HCME_WP3_V06.vot and uses the SSEF30 model results.

The catalog is available as python pandas dataframe (pickle), python numpy structured array (pickle), python numpy structured array (.npy, no pickle), json, csv, xlsx, txt, hdf5, html, html with comments, and this is the header txt file with comments, references and parameter descriptions.

Here is a a google colab notebook that demonstrates how to work with this and other catalogs on helioforecast.space in python.

In the search box, typing e.g. "STEREO-A 2012" selects all events with target STEREO-A in the year 2012.
The events are sorted by parameter "target_arrival_time".
